LOOT is a collection of visual stories about things -
everyday, found, handmade, natural and edible things
by photographer Melissa DiPalma.
I have always been interested in the potential of simple objects and things to tell stories about who we are, what inspires us, how things are made and where things come from.
By capturing images of the things we encounter, use and
eat everyday, LOOT creates a journal of life experiences.

As a visual story teller, photographer, designer and consultant, I work with businesses, art buyers, editors, designers, marketers, start-ups, makers and food producers to create images and campaigns that tell stories through products, food and objects. From beginning to end, I collaborate with clients to conceptualize, style and produce content for web, social, print, and video.
Using a creative and conceptual approach to still life and food photography, I can help develop visual campaigns and messages that stand out and go beyond basic product photography. Some of the ways I have worked with clients include styled product and e-commerce photography, editorial features, social media content/campaigns, look books, cinemagraphs and animated gif's, marketing campaigns and book covers.
If your product, business, article or campaign could benefit from concept driven and highly sharable visual stories, I am available for projects and collaborations.
